4 Steps to get and stay ahead
Get in touchThink Ahead
We’ll have an initial discussion to find out your goals and get an idea of your current situation.
We’ll let you know what we can and can’t help with.
After this first discussion we’ll get you to provide your basic financial information to review.
Plan Ahead
First we’ll work out your ballpark options – how much could you borrow, which lenders would work best, and what rates and payments to expect. We’ll also look at any costs you need to be aware of, and how much cash we think we can get from the banks to help cover those. We’ll then work with you to narrow down your options and decide on the best plan.
Move Ahead
We’ll put your plan into action – getting all the documents together, preparing your application and submitting it to lenders. We’ll manage any back and forth with the banks, working towards getting you an approval.
When you’re looking at properties we can also do some basic review to see if there are any potential issues for lenders. If you’re a first time buyer we can also help with the process of making an offer. When you buy a property we’ll help you to work out how you want to structure your loan, including interest rates and payment amounts.
This includes looking ahead long-term to make sure it works with any extra repayments you might want to make in the future, and retirement planning.
Stay Ahead
Our advice doesn’t end when you buy, in fact that’s just getting started. We’ll help you manage your mortgage long-term including when you need to pick new interest rates, or if you want to restructure your lending.
We proactively manage our clients’ mortgages to look for opportunities to save money, e.g. by breaking and refixing when rates fall or removing low equity margins as property values rise. We’re also here to help with future plans, like renovations or your next purchase.
